The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy accepts funds from a broad range of sources provided they are for purposes that are in keeping with its mission. These contributions may be payable on an annual basis or over a period of time or be given as in-kind goods or services. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy is grateful for the contributions it receives, which provide critical support that makes CFADP’s work possible. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy respects donor intent.

Acceptance of any contribution is at the discretion of the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy. Accordingly, each is subject to a condition, which is reflected in a written acceptance letter for any contribution of $250 and above, that stipulates that the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy accepts such contribution on the condition that the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy retains intellectual independence and control over any content funded in whole or in part by the contribution, consistent with CFADP’s Intellectual Independence Policy. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy does not accept anonymous contributions as a general policy.

On appropriate occasions, the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy will make exceptions to this policy for individual donors. For example, some individuals do not disclose their charitable giving. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy publicly acknowledges all its donors who give $250 or more. in an annual special contributor’s page or similar listing on its website or in the print or electronic yearly report and may do so in other contexts as well. The Centre for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy does not sell, trade, or rent its donor lists and does not share donor information with third parties. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy takes all reasonable and appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized use of its donor lists.
