The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy as an organization does not adopt or advocate positions on matters. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy publications always represent the views of the author(s) rather than those of the institution.

The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy maintains strict intellectual independence for all its projects and publications. Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy staff, fellows, and directors and those who the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy engages to work on specific projects, are responsible for generating and communicating intellectual content resulting from the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy’s projects. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy requires all donors to agree to the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy maintaining independent control of the content and conclusions of any products resulting from sponsored projects. The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy l also discloses sources of financial support in its annual reports to ensure transparency.
