John Xanthos
Treasurer

John Xanthos joined the Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy (CFADP) in 2022 and currently serves as its Treasurer.

John also serves as Executive Director of Finance at NSU Health, where he leads financial strategy and operations, focusing on enhancing efficiency, governance, and long-term fiscal sustainability.

Over the past decade, John has held progressive roles across accounting and finance, consistently advancing initiatives that improve business performance and profitability. Prior to joining NSU Health, he worked at the private equity firm BBX Capital in Fort Lauderdale, where he managed financial operations across multiple portfolio companies, gaining deep exposure to corporate growth and investment strategies.

John earned his Bachelor of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University after completing two years at the University of Florida, and later received his MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He holds several professional credentials, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) certification. A respected voice in his field, he has been a featured speaker at the National Healthcare CFO Conference.

In addition to his professional commitments, John is actively involved in community leadership. He serves on the Board of Directors for Emerge Broward, is a member of the Finance Committee for Leadership Broward, and acts as Treasurer for the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA).

Born into a family that included ambassadors, diplomats, and a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, John has long maintained a deep personal interest in global affairs and international diplomacy.
