CFADP Names Dr. Stantravis Brown Chairman of The Board of Directors

Washington, D.C. - September 30, 2025 - The Center for Foreign Affairs & Defense Policy (CFADP) announced the appointment of Dr. Santarvis Brown as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In this role, Dr. Brown will lead the Board in strengthening governance and guiding CFADP’s strategic direction across its seven programs.

As Chairman, Dr. Brown will help drive institutional growth, expand partnerships with policymakers and international stakeholders, and ensure CFADP’s research and recommendations deliver meaningful impact. His leadership will reinforce CFADP’s mission of Advancing the Global Future by promoting rigorous analysis, ethical governance, and practical solutions to the most pressing challenges in foreign affairs and defense policy.

Dr. Brown, a Distinguished Professor, author, and changemaker, brings more than two decades of impactful leadership in education, scholarship, and public service. Currently serving as Chair of Graduate Business Programs at Excelsior University, he has also contributed to leading institutions, including the University of Virginia, Florida International University, and Cornell University.

Dr. Brown holds doctorates in Educational Administration, Business Administration, and Law, reflecting his commitment to intellectual excellence and service. He also chairs the Minority Freedom Community Fund Board of Trustees and maintains lifelong memberships in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., King James #15 Masonic Lodge, and 100 Black Men of America.

Beyond academia, Dr. Brown has dedicated over 12 years to pastoral leadership in the AME Church and is currently the Senior Pastor of Greater Mt. Pleasant AME Church in Hollywood, Florida. His distinguished service has earned him international recognition, including honours as a Top 100 Global Leader in Education, an Innovator and Change Maker, and a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden.
